HOW WE WORK

EIGID works with communities, civil society organizations, and institutions to strengthen gender-inclusive democracy from the ground up.

Our projects combine practical training, civic education, and locally grounded partnerships to help women, young people, and local actors understand their rights, strengthen their voice, and participate more fully in decision-making.

Our work is built around three principles:

01

Community-Based Civic Empowerment

02

Practical & Replicable Tools

03

Partnerships for Inclusive Governance

We create spaces where communities can build rights awareness, confidence, leadership, and civic participation.

We design trainings, toolkits, and participatory activities that local partners can adapt, reuse, and sustain.

We connect community needs with civil society, institutions, and other actors to support broader democratic change.

OUR PROJECTS

Every project we run aims to counter democratic backlash by promoting a gender perspective at all
levels of society.

Castries Community Training - Saint Lucia

This program is designed to support women and communities in Saint Lucia through practical training on rights, legal awareness, civic participation, and gender equality. Delivered in partnership with Raise Your Voice, it also includes capacity-building for social service personnel, helping create stronger links between communities and institutions. More than a one-off training, the initiative is about building confidence, knowledge, and lasting change.

Road to Election

In February 2026, we collaborated with Roadto50% and other European organizations on Road to Election, an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union. This immersive programme brought together young people from different European countries to explore gender equality in politics and democratic participation.

Urgent Run Paris 2025

Partnering with the Urgent Run Paris to link sport, solidarity, and democracy. The campaign underlines that sanitation is not only a health issue but also a gender issue. Without safe toilets, girls miss school, women face risks, and equal participation in society is undermined.
